Lose The Fat

by Fit Dad on February 2, 2009

Hi, Fit Dad here,

A while ago my kids looked at my belly and said, “Dad, lose the fat.”

LOSE THE FAT !! What are you taking about!

Dad! LOSE THE FAT !! Please.

Oh, OK then. I felt slightly hurt but I looked down and……

Yep, there it was a big old belly, and of course I knew I had to lose the fat.

So that’s when I decided to find achieveable ways to lose the fat with immediate effect, I wasn’t prepared to waste any more time.

Instantly I thought of diet ie, nutrition, and I also thought about exercise. I made a plan to start losing weight and got busy working the plan. It wasn’t a perfect plan but I had nothing to lose. The fat started to come off and I adjusted the plan as I went.

I didn’t worry too much about what I was doing, it felt like it was more important to do something than just sit reading websites and blogs.

That’s what I’d recommend to anyone who wants to lose the fat – just get on and – do something!

To make the point I went for a 10 minute warm up run followed by Week 2 Day 1 of the hundred push up challenge.

Required / Completed
14 / 14
14 / 14
10 / 10
10 / 10
15 / 12

I couldn’t manage to finish the last set. I’m not sure I ate enought today, I felt a little weak. I must remember that in my quest to lose the fat I shouldn’t undereat. Maybe I’m just imagining it?

Perhaps it was the ten minute run that sapped my energy.

Whatever the issue I won’t let it derail my efforts to lose the fat!!!

Mantra Time:

LOSE THE FAT
LOSE THE FAT
LOSE THE FAT !!!!!!

Today I upped my run from a 10-12 minute run around the block, to 30 minutes of road work. The [...]
