Hi, Fit Dad here.
Certainly running is not necessarily the best way to lose fat, but it is one way to lose fat, especially if it’s part of a broader program incorporating proper nutrition and resistance work.
Today I upped my run from a 10-12 minute run around the block, to 30 minutes of road work. The extra distance took it’s toll but after I settled in to the run, I found that I was more concious of my breathing and that really helped.
As I was running along I could feel my belly fat wobbling as it gets softer through the weight loss I’m enjoying right now. I was also concious that under the layer of fat I could feel my abs, and I got lost in a daydream about having a flat stomach.
A flat stomach is not my only goal but it’s a major motivator and it probably doesnlt do any harm to dream especially as I’m putting in the work to get there.
It’s important that I remain positive about what I’m doing and I’ve started using ‘mantras’. They’re pitifully simple but they get the job done.
