Post image for Tue 23 June 2009 Weight Loss 192.2lbs And Tight Thighs

Hi, I’m continuing to weigh myself each morning as I said I would do during my most recent Lose The Fat update.

Monday 22 June : 192.5lbs
Today 23 June: 192.2lbs

A weight loss of point 3 of a pound overnight.

I went running in the forest earlier today for 45 minutes and noted my thighs were tight along the front. I must look up the name of that muscle at some point. It’s no surprise the muscles were tight because I’ve put in quite a few long runs over the last few days.

I didn’t think I’d be running so often or so far but I’m working on a “get it while you can” basis because I know I’m probably going to struggle to find the time over the next few days.

My left knee is holding up quite well and feels even better than it did yesterday.

Be healthy,

Fit Dad.

Monday 22 June 2009 192.5 lbs And Thoughts Of Loose Skin

Hi, This morning I weighed in at 192.5lbs – the same as Saturday – which makes me happy.
This afternoon I ran in the forest for 45 minutes. A nice steady pace nothing too strenuous.
Over the last week or so my left knee has felt quite weak and I’ve been favouring my right leg much more [...]

Lose The Fat 8

A 2lb weight loss since last week which is good! I’m happy with that, although I’m suspicious that the reading isn’t accurate. I weighed myself on Friday and registered 195lbs. That surprised me because I honestly thought I’d done better than that. Quite late Friday evening I went for the first of my 5 mile road runs and completed the course at a steady pace and it took me just shy of 45 minutes.

Fat Burning Saturday Sunday Monday

Hi,
Since my Lose The Fat 7 post on Saturday I’ve continued to burn the fat with some great runs. They didn’t necessarily feel great at the time but I feel good for it now.
On Saturday I did 50 minutes cross country, on Sunday I did another 50 minute cross country, then on Monday (yesterday) I [...]

Lose The Fat 7

A point 5 pound INCREASE in scale weight is not wholly unexpected. When I weighed-in last week and saw a 3 pound loss on the previous week I suspected that I was somewhat dehydrated and that the weight loss wasn’t all fat loss.

Other than on Monday when I ran for 40 minutes, I haven’t put in any additional exercise prior to the weigh in. My eating was a bit crappy too. Not massively off the mark but in truth I was a little disappointed not to find the same discipline I’ve displayed over the past few weeks.

Lose The Fat 6

Hi,
I weighed in and took my photo on Saturday (6 June) but decided to wait until Sunday to post the update. Sunday rolled into Monday as I was laid low with some kind of stomach bug and frankly, as I’m the only person reading this blog, I couldn’t be bothered to write the post until [...]

Still Burning Fat Despite Sore Knees And A Blister

Hi,
Thursday was a day off. Largely because I didn’t have time to put in a decent run but also because I didn’t feel like running.
In addition I also had it in the back of my mind that I wanted to cut my running to three days a week so as not to over train and [...]

I Ran For An Hour

I had a midweek weigh-in this morning and scored a 197.7, that’s up point 7 on Saturday’s weigh-in.
I’m not overly concerned. I’ve been here before. The scale plays tricks on the mind and doesn’t really tell the whole story.
There are a number of physiological reasons for the added weight but I’m not going to examine [...]

Saturday Sunday Monday

Hi,
I had absolutely no intention of running Saturday after putting in quite a few miles over the course of week, but right at the last moment I put on my running shoes and hit the trail. At 25 minutes it wasn’t a long run in comparison to the 40 and 50 minute runs I [...]
