Hi, Here’s my weekly update. I weighed in and measured yesterday (Sat 20 June) but I didn’t get around to posting until today:

A 2lb weight loss since last week which is good! I’m happy with that, although I’m suspicious that the reading isn’t accurate. I weighed myself on Friday and registered 195lbs. That surprised me because I honestly thought I’d done better than that. Quite late Friday evening I went for the first of my 5 mile road runs and completed the course at a steady pace and it took me just shy of 45 minutes. It was late evening and whilst I drank plenty of water to replenish what I think I was still dehydrated on Saturday morning when I weighed in at 192.5lbs.
For the next week or so I’m going to go back to weighing myself every day like I did when I started, just so I can get an average weight and therefore have a better idea of how I’m doing.
The scale is an annoyance in this respect. I know from previous experience the readings fluctuate from day to day so I try not to get too hung up on it.
Fortunately the mirror tells me I’m doing quite well, even if the crap photos don’t really show it.
The measurements are pretty much where I want them to be, i.e. no increases and some reductions.
I appear to be losing fat from my back and chest and my love handles and belly are significantly visibly reduced. It’s all good.
I feel much better on a day to day basis. My jeans are loose, and that alone is a major motivator.
By next Saturday I hope to be 191, which will be 10lbs down on my start weight and 1/3 of the way to my goal weight.
Be healthy!
